ARC Raiders do not welcome cheaters
Know the feeling? Half an hour of careful looting, rare gear in your backpack, the extraction point is almost within reach... And then—an instant headshot through cover from a player with a name like "X_UBIVATOR_777." In the hardcore extraction shooter genre, cheaters aren't just a nuisance. They kill the very spirit of the game, turning tense, high-risk gameplay into a farce. Embark Studios, known for the dynamic PvP battles of The Finals, understands this perfectly. That's why in their upcoming project ARC Raiders, they have no intention of compromising and are declaring a merciless war on cheaters using the most modern technology.
Summary of the Massive Purge
-
During four days of testing a new protection system for ARC Raiders, 40,000 accounts were banned.
-
Embark Studios intends to continue the fight against violators with the same severe determination.
-
The developers' arsenal includes a kernel-level anti-cheat and neural networks for analyzing player behavior.
The Banhammer is Working: 10,000 Violators Per Day
The recent testing of the updated protection system in ARC Raiders was a triumph for the honest community and a disaster for fans of unfair advantages. Embark Studios reported impressive results: over 96 hours, 40,000 cheater accounts were identified and neutralized. The figure speaks for itself—the system operated at an intensity of 10,000 bans per day.
The developers made their position unequivocally clear:
"In a game where everything you've gathered on a run can be at stake, and where it can all be lost in an instant, cheating is an existential threat to the gameplay experience. We will not allow that experience to be ruined."
Heavy Artillery: Kernel-Level Access and Artificial Intelligence
Embark Studio openly states that it is deploying "heavy artillery" in the fight against dishonest players. The foundation of the defense is an anti-cheat operating at the kernel level, similar to systems like Vanguard (Valorant). This approach gives the system deep access to monitor processes even before the game itself launches, allowing it to detect and block third-party malicious software at the earliest stage.
But that's not all. The second line of defense is special AI models that constantly analyze player behavior. These neural networks are trained to recognize patterns characteristic of aimbots, wallhacks, and other types of cheats, doing so faster and more efficiently than any live moderator. The system doesn't just look for prohibited software; it analyzes the actions themselves, identifying anomalies.
"Certainly, there will always be those who express concerns about privacy," comments Embark. "But for an honest player, the choice is obvious: better a highly effective anti-cheat than servers swarming with parasites that destroy all the fun of the game."
For a PvPvE shooter like ARC Raiders, where the price of a mistake is the loss of all your loot, the threat comes not only from cheaters. Even technical issues like freezes or lags can be fatal. Therefore, stable performance and a clean environment are an absolute priority for the developers preparing the project for release. Judging by their recent actions, Embark is serious and ready to defend fair gameplay by the toughest means necessary.
